While we stayed in Boulder, we rented a cozy, family home off Dartmouth street at the foothills of the mountains. We were 5 minutes from Chautauqua Park and from Pearl Street in downtown Boulder. After daytime naps, we always tried a new brewery for lunch or dinner and always completed the day with dessert. It’s a tradition for me (I made it one…) to eat a large chocolate dipped waffle cone with phish food if there’s a Ben & Jerry’s on vacation. So I did just that…every other day. Ice cream was still consumed on the other days, though ;)
With the awesome mini-van from Enterprise, we could fit everything and anything we needed as we road tripped through Colorado. It was so convenient, easy, and gas efficient…I could almost consider driving one permanently.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, D’Deli in Golden, Eldorado Canyon State Park, and Pearl Street were some of our favorite places we visited while in Boulder. Chautauqua Park is absolutely beautiful and shady!! Even the playground was shaded. With view of the mountains, an entirely shaded playground, and The Dining Hall within walking distance…Chautauqua ranks as one of our favorites. It was perfect for both parents and kids.
